Course summary
This course provides risk assessors with a detailed understanding of the risk assessment process. It equips participants with the knowledge and practical tools needed to carry out risk assessments in accordance with health and safety executive guidance and Nottinghamshire County Council corporate policies and procedures.
What are the benefits of the course?
- Provide an overview of the legal background relating to risk assessment;
- To inform delegates of the importance of risk assessment and understand the principles and practice of the assessment process;
- Inform delegates of what a ‘risk assessment’ is;
- Understand and apply the five steps to general risk assessment, including for lone working, young persons and new / expectant mothers;
- Use a range of techniques to inform and review risk assessments.
