Children at Samuel Barlow Primary Academy proudly showed off their smart new uniforms in the first half term of the year. The feedback from families and staff has been extremely positive – as you can see from the pictures, the pupils love it too!

Children in years 4 down to foundation classes will now wear a navy jumper or cardigan, with the introduction of blazers and ties for year 5 and 6 pupils.

The decision to change the colour of uniform and introduce blazers for year 5 and 6 pupils was made in consultation with families – feedback was taken on uniform colour, availability to purchase non-branded versions, and ensuring the uniform stands up to the test of coping with primary school stains!

To support the community and to ensure all children were able to obtain a jumper, cardigan or blazer, the academy funded the purchase of one item of uniform for every pupil on roll in July.

|A huge thank you to everyone for their support of this change. Staff at the academy are very proud of the children in their new uniform!
