We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded SchoolMark accreditation in recognition of adopting best practice, running an efficient financial model and delivering an effective strategy that puts children and young people at the heart of school resource management.

The quality mark is awarded by the Institute for School Business Leadership (ISBL) to schools and multi-academy trusts who can demonstrate excellent resource management and has been developed in consultation with the Department for Education. The scheme assesses numerous aspects of resource management and operations, celebrates best practice and helps to raise standards in school management across the education sector.

Gary Corban, chief operating officer for Diverse Academies said: “As a charitable education trust, our focus is on effectively prioritising our resources to support a pupil’s whole educational journey. We want our children and young people to not only succeed academically, but to thrive as individuals and be ready to face the world ahead of them.

“Education is so much more than the classroom experience alone, so a critical aspect of our approach to financial management is on providing a breadth of resources to enhance both teaching and learning, as well as enrichment and extracurricular activities.”

David Cotton, CEO and accounting officer, added: “Our vision is to inspire, to raise aspiration and create brighter tomorrows – this accreditation is testament to our strong commitment in ensuring taxpayers’ value for money and that our resources positively impact on the communities we serve, as well as evidence of the transparency and propriety of our financial management.”
