The DALP Games is always one of the highlights of the academy calendar as we bring all of our secondary, primary and special academies together to compete in a showcase of athletic and sporting talent amongst our pupils and students.

Taking place at Grantham Meres Sports Centre, the day was a truly enjoyable celebration of sport with children from across the Trust getting involved in track and field events, netball, basketball, hockey and futsal.

The fierce competition in both the secondary and primary events was matched by the amazing support that students and staff gave to children from not only their own academy, but everyone competing. The sportsmanship was in evidence throughout the entire day, including even as the results were read out. We were delighted to see this alongside students pushing themselves to do well for their own academies.

At the end of the event the points were totalled up and East Leake Academy emerged as triumphant in the secondary category for the fourth year running. Thrumpton Primary Academy took home the prize in the primary category with a huge advantage over their nearest rivals.
