Thoresby Vale Primary Academy proudly welcomed Olympic gold medallist Tabitha Stoecker for a special visit following her success at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Tabby, who won gold in the mixed team skeleton event alongside Matt Weston, spoke to pupils about her journey into elite sport and the determination needed to achieve her goals.
During an inspiring whole-school assembly, pupils asked thoughtful questions and learned about the importance of hard work, resilience, and believing in themselves. Tabby also visited classrooms so that every child could see her gold medal up close, creating a memorable experience for everyone.
The visit was particularly special as her nephew and niece, who attend the academy, presented her with a book of Olympic-themed artwork created by pupils. The occasion was a proud and inspiring moment for the whole school community.
