Our regional partnerships allow us to enhance our offering for continuous professional development (CDP), leadership and teacher training, and initial teacher education (ITE).

Established in 1862 as a teacher training college, Lincoln Bishop’s commitment to first-class teacher training has remained consistent and, as a result, the university continues to provide schools across the country with highly-skilled graduates who are equipped to teach the next generation of young learners.

Lincoln Bishop offers many different methods of support for trainees as they begin their teaching careers. For example, there is a dedicated Beyond ITE (B:ITE) resource page that is aimed at supporting your transition into your early careers teaching. In addition, the B:ITE tutors are always available to offer impartial advice and support. As an alumni student, you can also access the university’s extensive Teacher Resource Centre in the library to help you keep abreast of curriculum developments.

Diverse Academies is a lead partner of Lincoln Bishop University, offering PGCEs with qualified teacher status (QTS). Teacher training takes place both in our schools and at the university, and allows trainees to develop an extensive understanding of every aspect of teaching.

As a designated Olevi centre we offer nationally recognised Olevi programmes and a range of bespoke training programmes across a broad range of expertise, which are available to other academies and trusts within our Association Community. Our CPD offer is also extended to organisations nationally, and we pride ourselves on working collaboratively with all members to ensure we offer a rich and diverse programme of professional development.

For over 20 years, OLEVI has been at the forefront of working with schools on whole-school improvement strategies – designing and providing exceptional professional development training for teachers, teaching assistants, and leaders in education, within the UK and across the globe.

As the Department for Education designated teaching school hub for Gedling, Bassetlaw and Newark and Sherwood, the Redhill Teaching Hub is one of 87 centres of excellence in training and professional development for teachers and school leaders.

Our provision is enhanced by the strong working partnership we have with Redhill Teaching Hub.
